BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — #5 Madison Prep got back in the win column Friday with a 35-6 win over Scotlandville.
Scotlandville fumbled the ball away to Madison Prep in the first quarter. The Hornets held the Chargers to a long field goal attempt, which was no good.
Madison Prep found the endzone later in the first quarter when Kentrell Knox ran it in to put the Chargers up 7-0.
On the next Scotlandville play, the Hornets fumbled the ball and Carlos Freeman recovered for the Madison Prep touchdown to make it 14-0.
Scotlandville would find the endzone in the second quarter to make it 14-6 Madison Prep at halftime.
However, the Chargers pulled away in the second half for the 35-6 win.
Madison Prep moves to 2-1 while Scotlandville falls to 0-3.
