BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — #6 Parkview Baptist was firing on all cylinders in a 49-12 win over Port Allen Friday.

The Eagles jumped out to a 28-6 lead at halftime, then poured it on in the second half.

Parkview Baptist found the endzone on its first drive of the second half when quarterback Abram Johnston escaped a near sack and then connected with Gatlyn Grace for a toe-tap touchdown to go up, 35-6.

The Eagles later got into the endzone for a second time in the third quarter when Johnston found Brock Comeaux on a slant pass to go up, 42-6.

Then, as time expired in the third quarter, Parkview Baptist found the endzone once again, this time going to the ground and Kayden Tureaud.

The win moves the Eagles to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in District 6-3A, setting up a big match-up with University Lab in the final week of the regular season which holds the same record and is also undefeated in district play. The loss drops Port Allen to 4-4-1 overall and 2-3 in District 6-3A.
