BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Catholic won their fifth straight ballgame after taking care of business against Scotlandville, 55-23.
After a back-and-forth first quarter, Catholic took a 35-7 lead in the second. The Hornets responded with a 60-yard touchdown run by Darren London with 1:37 left in the first half. The Bears ran a successful two-minute drill offense that ended with a Daniel Beale touchdown pass to Brooks Wright.
Catholic opened up the second half with a big fourth down stop on defense, and then followed it up on offense with a Beale pass to Bradley Wright for a tough touchdown catch.
Up next, Catholic will host Zachary at Memorial Stadium for a huge 5A District 4 matchup, and Scotlandville travels to Woodlawn.
