GEISMAR, La. (BRPROUD) – The seventh seeded Dutchtown Griffins showed why they are one of the top teams in their LHSAA state playoff bracket after a 42-0 shutout of #26 South Lafourche.

Dutchtown capped off a dominant first half with a Malik Shehadeh touchdown run to make it 28-0.

On the first play of the second half, Lekedrin Harvey broke several tackles en route to a 60-yard run to the end zone and added to the Griffins’ lead.

Up next, Dutchtown will face #10 Chalmette. The Owls are 10-1 in the 2023 season and are coming off a first round win against #23 Ponchatoula.
