Dutchtown dominates Denham Springs, stays atop District 5-5A

GEISMAR, La. (BRPROUD) — Dutchtown dominated Denham Springs, 38-7, to move into a three-way tie after St. Amant gave Walker its first loss of the District 5-5A slate.

The Griffins used long drives fueled by the running game and a special formation to convert in the redzone to build a 24-0 lead just before the halftime break.

Dutchtown will now play at East Ascension to keep their hopes of a share of the district title alive with St. Amant and Walker.

For context, EA lost its two meetings vs. St. Amant and Walker, 56-22, but the Spartans have put together a two-game winning streak heading into the week 10 finale.
