CENTRAL, LA (BATON ROUGE PROUD) – No. 9 Catholic High wins a thriller 24-38 over Central in a big time 4-5A district battle. The Bears (5-2,2-0) outscored the Wildcats (5-2,1-1) 28-14 in the second half. Catholic put the game winning drive together that ended with Barry Remo’s third rushing touchdown, 63-yard score.

With 13 seconds left to play, Central scored on a Jackson Firmin touchdown pass to Adyn Wilkinson followed by a blocked point after attempt to make it 42-38. Special teams plagued the Wildcats all night aside from a muffed punt that was returned for a score by Tucker Pitre.

Central will try to bounce back as they go on the road to face 3rd ranked Zachary next Friday night. It’ll be the Wildcats second road test of the season.
