ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Green Devils (8-2, 7-1) upset No. 5 West Feliciana (8-2, 7-1) in the regular season finale Friday night, 13-8. Plaquemine held off the Saints’ late fourth-quarter surge to earn a share of the District 6-4A title.

The Green Devils defense forced three turnovers and leaned on their rushing attack with junior running back Tyrese Mosby. Mosby finished with two rushing touchdowns, on a 5-yard score and 6-yard scamper.

The Saints’ offense was shut out through the first three quarters and didn’t score until less than eight minutes left in the fourth quarter. LSU commit Joel Rogers connected with Thomas Temple for West Feliciana’s only touchdown. Rogers played both ways tonight but primarily played safety while Temple was the starting quarterback for the Saints.
