No. 3 Catholic High holds off Woodlawn, 34-27

BATON ROUGE – Third ranked Catholic High finishes the regular season with a 34-27 win over Woodlawn Friday night at Memorial Stadium.

The Bears (6-2, 3-0) jumped out to a 14-0 lead after a 14-yard rushing touchdown by George Hart III followed by a Daniel Beale 35-yard passing td to Daniel Harden.

The Panthers got into the endzone after Rickie Collins connected with Kyle Jones on a 15-yard touchdown to make it 14-7.

The Bears led by two touchdowns at halftime. But the second half was a different story, Catholic gave up two late touchdowns but were able to hold on for the win.

The freshman Daniel Beale with his first career start for the Bears. He went 17-27 for 222 passing yards and 1 touchdown while senior running back George Hart led his team with 84 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.
