BATON ROUGE – Central pushed No. 3 Zachary to the limit in a pivotal District 4-5A showdown Friday night. The Broncos relied on senior running back Kameron Thomas who took over the ball game in the second half. Thomas finished with 200 rushing yards on 19 carries with three touchdowns. All three touchdowns came in the second half.

Zachary (7-0, 3-0) is the only remaining unbeaten Baton Rouge area team in 5A, after St. Amant lost to Dutchtown. With only two games left in district play, Central (5-3, 1-2) will try to bounce back as they host Woodlawn next Friday night.
