St. Amant defeats Dutchtown at The Pit

ST. AMANT, LA. – St. Amant defeatwed Dutchtown at ‘The Pit’ (St. Amant Middle School) 21-14 on Homecoming night.

The first half of the game was mostly defense, added with many penalties. Until St. Amant’s QB Cole Poirrier called his own number and scored the first touchdown of the game middle of the second quarter.

Poirrier’s pass to Noah Louque in the third quarter moved the Gators to the redzone. Soon after, Poirrier ran it in for a touchdown increasing the lead to 14-0.

Dutchdown was able to score twice in the game. One touchdown coming from University of Tennessee commit RB Dylan Sampson, but it wasn’t enough. St Amant prevails.
