BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — St. Michael defeats Plaquemine, 45-27, in week five, a game that could decide District 6-4A.
The Green Devils struck first when quarterback Nico Victorian rushed in for the score to make it 7-0.
St. Michael answered right back when quarterback Preston Sentino found Gavin Landry for a deep touchdown to tie the game up.
Then, Santino called his own number and rushed for a 50-yard touchdown to put St. Michael ahead 14-7.
Plaquemine answered late in the first quarter when Tyrese Mosby went 21 yards for the touchdown to knot the game at 14.
In the second quarter, Santino put the Warriors back on with another touchdown to make it 21-14.
The Green Devils’ Mosby responded right back with another touchdown to tie the game back up.
The Warriors took a 28-21 lead into the half and pulled away in the second half to win.
St. Michael moves to 5-0 with the win, while Plaquemine falls to 4-2.
