WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) — Walker clinched a three-way share of the 5A District 5 title after a 35-21 win at Wildcat Stadium over Denham Springs.

The Wildcat offense started hot, when quarterback Troy Silve hit senior wide receiver Jamari Evans for a 60-yard touchdown pass on the opening possession. Later in the period, running back Cayden Jones took a 40-yard handoff for another Walker touchdown.

Denham Springs struggled to move the ball in the first quarter, and Walker led 14-0 after the first 15 minutes.

Walker finished the regular season at 9-1, tied with St. Amant and Dutchtown for the district crown. Denham Springs ended their season at 3-7, under .500 for the first time since 2020-21.
