West Monroe upends Central, 27-7

High School Football

CENTRAL, LA – The Central Wildcats (8-2) couldn’t slow down West Monroe (6-1) Friday night in the second round of the LHSAA playoffs. Central’s season comes to a close with a 27-7 loss to the Rebels.

The Wildcats went blow for blow with the Rebels in the first half, scoring a touchdown right before the break to make it 7-7. But WMHS scored 20 unanswered points in the second half and the rest is history.

West Monroe is now 3-1 vs Central in the playoffs, since their first meeting in 2013.
