LIVE BLOG: Saints (6-1) host Cardinals (3-3), Drew Brees starts at QB for the 1st time since week 2

The New Orleans Saints host the Arizona Cardinals before the Saints bye week. Drew Brees starts at quarterback for the first time since week two when he was injured in the Los Angeles Rams game.

FINAL: 31-9 Saints win and improve to 7-1 on the season. The Saints have a bye next weekend and will host the Atlanta Falcons 11/10, kickoff set for noon on FOX.

4th quarter – (5:23) Drew Brees pass short left to Michael Thomas for 9 yards, TOUCHDOWN Saints. Score 31-9 Saints.

4th quarter – (12:52) Drew Brees pass short left to Taysom Hill for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN Saints. Score 24-9 Saints.

3rd quarter – (1:47) Zane Gonzalez 50 yard field goal is GOOD. 17-9 Saints.

3rd quarter – (5:33) Drew Brees pass short right to Latavius Murray, he takes it 15 yards to the endzone. TOUCHDOWN Saints. New Orleans up 17-6.

HALFTIME: Saints up 10-6.

2nd quarter – (5:23) Zane Gonzalez 31 yard field goal is GOOD. Saints still lead 10-6.

2nd quarter – (9:03) Latavius Murray gets the hand off from Brees, carries for 8 yards into the endzone, TOUCHDOWN Saints. PAT is good. Saints take the lead 10-3.

2nd quarter – (14:17) Wil Lutz 26 yard field goal is GOOD. Score tied 3-3.

1st quarter – (5:46) Zane Gonzalez 31 yard field goal is GOOD. Cardinals up 3-0.
