WACO, TX. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Little League baseball team beat the Oklahoma Tulsa National Little League team on Monday, Aug. 7 with a walk-off win.
According to the Little League World Series website, the Ascension Parish team won 8-7. The team trailed the Oklahoma team, 7-2, in the bottom of the sixth. The Ascension Parish team scored five runs in the final inning, bringing the score to 7-7, and the final player at bat earned a walk with the bases loaded to win the game, according to the Ascension Parish Baseball social media.
The Ascension Parish team is headed to the Little League Regional Finals on Tuesday, Aug. 8, against the Needville Little League team. The game is scheduled to air on ESPN at noon. The winner will advance to the Little League World Series.
