BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – To show their continuous support in Baton Rouge, fans of the LSU Lady Tigers had a watch party at Walk On’s on Burbank.
Food, drinks, and their favorite gear were essentials for Friday’s game.
Once the game ended, fans said they had full faith in the LSU women’s basketball team.
“Great game, great game. We knew y’all could do it. Y’all pulled through, we’re waiting for Sunday, said lady Tigers fan Skylar Norton. “Go tigers, go tigers, it’s been a great season. Let’s bring it home, let’s bring it home.”
The Lady Tigers defeated Virginia Tech to make their first-ever national championship appearance.
Tigers fan Ashlyn Anderson has been a fan all season and advises the community to always support them.
“No matter the outcome I think the LSU community should come together to support them because of all the hard work they’ve done,” she said.
Anderson also says their support from her comes through inspiration.
“I think it’s really important to support women’s basketball just because that sport is on the come up and I personally feel very inspired by it,” she added.
With the win against Virginia Tech, the Lady Tigers will play in the March Madness Championship game at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.
