NEW ORLEANS, La. – All-Star forward Brandon Ingram chose to stay in the 504 Tuesday when he signed a max contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans.
The deal is a five-year, $158 million extension. Ingram averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game last season, earning the Most Improved Player award.
Ingram became the third player of the 2016 NBA Draft Class to sign a max contract extension, joining former LSU and current Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons and Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray.
