BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The LSU offensive line is coming off an impressive performance in the Tigers 48-18 win against Auburn on Saturday night.
LSU center Charles Turner was named the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
According to LSU Athletics, Turner played a pivotal role in LSU’s win against Auburn as the Tigers posted 563 total yards of offense, with 243 coming on the ground.
“Turner was LSU’s highest-graded offensive lineman as the Tigers averaged 6.1 yards per carry and no negative rushing yards on designed run plays,” said LSU Athletics.
The Tiger offense continues to be one of the best units in all of college football as they rank in the top 10 in the country in six different categories, according to LSU Athletics.
LSU will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 21 when they take on the Army Black Knights in Tiger Stadium at 6:30 p.m. CT.
