BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Tigers come in at No. 14 in the initial College Football Playoffs (CFP) rankings that were announced Tuesday night.

The Tigers are ranked one spot lower in the CFP rankings than they are in the AP Poll where they are ranked No. 13.

LSU’s showdown with Alabama on Saturday is still set to be a top 15 matchup with the Crimson Tide coming in at No. 8 in the CFP rankings.

LSU is one of six SEC schools ranked in the CFP Top 25: Georiga (2), Alabama (8), Ole Miss (10), Missouri (12), LSU (14), and Tennessee (17).
