After the win against Texas Southern, Dooley said the game was a hard-fought contest.

“Our student-athletes are going to fight,” said Dooley. “Both teams fought hard and fortunately enough we came out on the good side of it and now we can make those corrections, put ourselves in this position. We know it’s going to be a tough contest, a challenge, but I said from day one every team you play in this conference is going to be a challenge.”

When asked about what Alcorn’s defense can do to the Jaguars’ offense, Dooley replied by saying, “They’re ranked high in all categories when talking about defense. They’re playing some sound football.”
