BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – Eighth grader, Bryson Addison keeps a busy schedule and shows no signs of slowing down.

“I’m involved with my church, I do a lot of fundraising with the dance marathon at the hospital. I was the 2022 CMN Champion. I went to all the Walmarts, Sams, and high schools. I’m also president of my junior beta club,” Addison said.

Though Addison has battled health issues from an early age, he’s never let this stop him. Despite being booked and busy, he’s been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA.

“After school they would call me and need me to film a commercial or do things of that sort. I’ll manage that and go home and do my homework,” said Addison.

Although some days were longer than others, it never deterred him from achieving.

He said, “It was kind of tiring because I would do that then around 10 I’m doing my homework. I manage because I knew doing the other things would help other people. That’s why my motto is help kids like me.”

As he starts the new school year and embarks on other endeavors, he’s aiming for another 4.0 GPA while giving back.

He adds that one of the biggest lessons he learned early on is that anything is possible.

The talented eighth grader says, “No matter what’s going on, just keep pushing.”
