A 19-year-old Baton Rouge man is behind bars on Monday morning facing a Second Degree Murder charge.
Deunta Brown, of 3438 Hollywood St. was arrested on Sunday evening, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
BRPD said on Sunday afternoon, “around 3:10 p.m., investigators responded to the 3600 block of Amarillo Street relative to a shooting investigation.”
Police arrived at the shooting scene and located Dynovan Johnson, of 5763 Henderson Ave.
Johnson “was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The shooting victim was sent to a local hospital where he died from the injuries sustained in the shooting.
Deunta Brown is currently in the the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
