The registration deadline is extended for the East Baton Rouge Parish School District as school leaders prepare to send thousands of meal boxes to students over the holiday
break. For East Baton Rouge Parent and educator, Celeste Payne, the District’s free Thanksgiving meal distribution is a great option for busy families.
“The meals actually helps me because I know that he has grab and go meals while I’m at work,” says Payne. East Baton Rouge Parish schools says it will provide students free meals during the Thanksgiving Break. The district’s nutrition director, Dr. Nadine Mann says all parents who register their child will be served up a morning breakfast snack and lunch starting Saturday through Wednesday.
