Madalyn Wallace, Remy’s girlfriend thought she’d have more time with him. She thought she’d have forever. But even though it seems time betrayed the young couple, she says she finds peace in Remy’s memory. That feeling filled yellow jacket stadium as classmates and teammates let tears roll for the good times and the funny memories. They had with the boy they called a loveable giant.
They shared stories of his life, stories that let his personality shine through. You learned that Remy loved trucks and he liked to tease his friends relentlessly for a good laugh. Gabby a friend of Remy’s said he was there for everyone, whether he knew you or not.
It’s never to say goodbye when you thought you had forever, but at least here the yellow jackets and Denham Springs High school can forever keep Remy’s memory alive on the field he loved.
