Salvation Army BR Commander commits to 24-hours of bell-ringing for matching donation

Uncategorized

The Salvation Army Baton Rouge Corps’ Commander is on a special 24 hour mission. His goal: to raise $5000 to match a pledge of that same amount in just 24 hours.

General Donald Tekautz began his mission at 6 pm, Friday December 20th and will be out in front of the Siegen Village WalMart, rain, cold, or shine, until Saturday, December 20th at 6 pm. So, if you’re out and about, the Salvation Army is asking you to stop by and make a donation of any amount to help them reach their goal.

If you don’t make it out in time to contribute for this particular effort, don’t worry, you can donate here. Salvation Army bell-ringers will be out again tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday at all area WalMart stores, at Sam’s, and at area grocery stores.
