Tonight: The night will start off as cloudy, but rain will pour over the capital city and surrounding parishes after midnight as a warm front begins to lift over the area. It will be a lot warmer tonight with lows staying in the 50s. Winds will be light out of the northwest. Low near 56.
Tomorrow: The morning will be rainy, and after that, there is the chance for scattered showers throughout the day. Skies will be cloudy otherwise. Once again, highs will be well above normal with temperatures rising into the lower 70s. Light northwesterly winds will become southeasterly. High near 71.
Extended: Temperatures will continue to soar throughout the week. Between Tuesday and Friday, highs will approach 80. Overnight lows during this time will be in the 60s. There is the chance for scattered showers on Tuesday. The next good chance for precipitation will be on Friday night ahead of a cold front. This front will drop highs into the upper 60s and lower 70s on Saturday, and this will set up a much cooler weekend.
