Friday Morning Forecast for Baton Rouge 10-6-23
Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your forecast. Today will be mostly cloudy at first and gradually becoming partly cloudy as some clouds clear out. Because of the drier and cooler air filtering in behind the cold front, our highs will only reach the mid to upper 80s. Dew points will be lower for today, but moreso for this weekend. Although this is the type of weather many of us have been waiting on, just know we're at an elevated risk for fire danger. A red flag warning has been issued for our area for Saturday. The red flag warning will be in effect from 11am until 7pm. Exceptional drought conditions, drier air/low humidity and breezy winds will help increase the fire danger. Highs will be in the upper 70s for this weekend and in the low 80s for Monday. Clouds will linger for Saturday, but skies will be clearer for Sunday. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 50s for Saturday through Monday nights. If you have plans to head out to church on Sunday and/or going to work on Monday and Tuesday mornings, make sure you have your jackets! Enjoy the great weather. Thanks for watching. Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!
