Friday Morning Forecast for Baton Rouge 11-17-23

Happy Friday everyone. We've made it to the end of another work week. Patchy fog is present this morning, but that will clear out this morning. We'll have cloudy skies for a good bit of our Friday, but a few breaks in the clouds will give way to some sunshine. Today will be a warmer day with highs getting into the 70s. A weak cold front will move through our area late tonight and into Saturday. A couple of isolated showers are possible as the front passes, but most if not all of us will likely not receive rain. We'll have pleasant weather for this weekend, but cooler and drier air filtering behind this weak front will help morning lows to be in the 40s for Sunday. Highs will still be in the 70s though for this weekend. A storm system will move through our area on Monday/Tuesday. Warm, moist air will surge in ahead of the cold front giving us warm and muggy conditions on Monday. Severe t-storms are possible with this next system. The Storm Prediction Center has parts of our area under a slight risk for severe weather. After the cold front clears our area, we'll have cooler and drier weather for Tuesday through the end of next week. Nice weather will be a treat for Thanksgiving. Stay tuned to our forecasts online and on-air so we can provide more info about the possible severe weather early next week. Thanks for watching. Have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend!
