Monday Morning Forecast for Baton Rouge 11-13-23
Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your 6:45 am forecast. Happy Monday everyone. It's nice to begin this day with rain. We desperately needed it and now it's here. Most of Louisiana is still under an exceptional drought level, but hopefully we'll able to see a little improvement on the U.S. drought monitor map that will be updated later this week. An area of low pressure is developing in the Gulf. This Gulf low will bring showers to our area for the next day or two. It's already raining this morning and rain will persist throughout today and for tonight. Winds will also be breezy. Winds could gust around 20 mph. Coastal areas could possibly have higher wind gusts (25-30 mph). Cloudy skies and rain will help us to have cooler weather for the first half of this week. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s for today and in the low to mid 60s for tomorrow. Rain chances are much lower for Wednesday. As the Gulf low begins continues moving east and away from our area around midweek, the rain will move out too. We'll have warmer and drier weather for the second half of this week. Thanks for watching. Have a magnificent Monday!
