Monday Morning Forecast for Baton Rouge 11-20-23
Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your 6:45 am forecast. This morning is starting off dry and much warmer than Sunday morning. A cold front moved in late Friday/early Saturday and that brought in some cooler air which helped us to have such a chilly Sunday morning. Warm air and moisture from the Gulf will continue moving into our area today. This will give us warmer weather and help it to be a little more humid. Highs will be in the upper 70s to 80 degrees. A few showers will develop this afternoon, but the main time frame for showers and t-storms is this evening and overnight. A strong cold front will move through our area tonight and overnight. Two severe weather threat levels are covering our area. A slight threat for severe weather covers south Louisiana and an enhanced risk covers central and south Mississippi and central Louisiana. Strong to severe t-storms, hail, damaging wind gusts and a couple of isolated tornadoes are all possible. Have a way to receive weather alerts for tonight and overnight. Rain chances are around 70% - 80% for today and 30% for tomorrow. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s for Tuesday and near 60 for Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 50s for Thanksgiving Day. Another disturbance could bring showers back to our area on Thanksgiving. Drier weather should return for Friday and this weekend. Thanks for watching. Stay weather aware and have a magnificent Monday!
