StormTracker Team Forecast…Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! No weather concerns for Black Friday shopping — may need a sweater or a light jacket though! Expect a mix of sun and clouds today with highs in the mid-70s. Our weather pattern will begin to change tomorrow as a potent cold front moves into the region.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed our area under a Slight (threat level 2 out of 5) and Marginal Risk (threat level 1 out of 5) for severe weather. The timing looks to be Saturday night through early Sunday morning. Damaging wind would be the primary threat, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. If you’re headed to either the LSU game or the Southern game in New Orleans, be sure to bring the rain gear. Stay tuned for changes.
Next week will be much cooler with highs only in the 50s and 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s.
