The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for all of the BRProud areas in Southeast Louisiana and Southeast Mississippi through Thursday evening.
We expect a few more rounds of showers and storms through Thursday night. Heavy rain may lead to localized flash flooding. An additional 1-2″ of rain will be possible for most areas. Some spots may see rain totals exceeding 3″. Keep in mind, if you are caught under a strong thunderstorm you can double or triple these amounts!
The Weather Prediction Center has placed our area under a Marginal (threat level 1 out of 4) for flooding Thursday – low lying areas and areas prone to flooding are most vulnerable. Avoid all flooded areas!
