StormTracker Forecast…Another cool and cloudy morning is in store for us in the Capital City. As Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 moves away from Louisiana, clouds will gradually clear a bit, as well. Some afternoon sun should allow us to warm into the 70s. Rain chance is only at 20%. The only issue PTC 16 will bring to our area will be the threat of coastal flooding, so the National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for parishes through Saturday morning.
If you’re heading out this evening, grab a jacket as temperatures fall into the 60s and then 50s overnight. A spotty shower or two will be possible, but most stay dry. Partly to mostly cloudy Saturday morning, but you can expect sun and some clouds by Saturday afternoon with temperatures around 80. Rain chance is only at 10%. Rain chance increases to around 30% on Sunday with highs in the mid-80s. A strong cold front begins to move into the area on Monday. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are likely. Some storms may be strong to severe, so be sure to check back in with the StormTracker Team on-air and online as we fine-tune the forecast. After the front passes, highs will be back in the 70s and lows will be back in the 50s. Autumn weather will continue!
