Today: The main story of the day is the Saharan dust that has now moved into the area. It will create hazy skies and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets should the clouds break. The day will mainly be overcast and very hazy. There is an air quality alert. We are in the orange range, which means that sensitive groups should avoid prolonged outdoor activities. It will also be a warm day with highs in the upper 80s and feels-like temperatures in the 90s. Winds will be northeasterly at 5-10 mph. High near 87.
Tonight: Hazy conditions will continue overnight. Skies will be cloudy otherwise. We’ll stay nice and dry, but expect it to feel humid. Dew point temperatures will stay in the 70s, putting us in the miserable range. Winds overnight will be light. Low near 75.
Extended: Hazy conditions are expected tomorrow, but it will be a little less hazy than it will be today. Tomorrow, however, will be another stormy day. Expect thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon, and remember to head indoors if you hear thunder. Temperatures will once again stay in the 80s, but it will feel like the 90s outside. Sunday will be another wet day with scattered showers, and unfortunately, for much of the workweek, showers are expected. Temperatures will return to the 90s on Monday, and this is where highs will stay for much of the week, so get ready for hot and wet weather.
