Today: The weekend will start off hot and steamy. Temperatures will rise into the lower 90s with feels-like temperatures likely reaching the century mark. Expect a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. Winds will be southwesterly at 5-10 mph. High near 92.
Tonight: There is a slight chance for a passing shower before midnight. Otherwise, the night will be mostly dry with partly skies. Temperatures will fall into the mid 70s, but it will still be a bit humid. Winds will be southwesterly at 5-10 mph. Low near 76.
Extended: There is a chance for scattered storms tomorrow as a cold front moves toward the area. The storms should quickly move out of the picture, so we are not looking at a washout. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s tomorrow and again on Sunday. There is a chance for isolated storms in the afternoon on Sunday, but right now, it looks like most of the day will be dry. During the workweek, we’ll see temperatures slightly below average, but it will still be very humid with heat indices nearing the 100-degree mark. There is also a daily chance of storms, but the probabilities of precipitation will be low.
