Today: Today highs will be back near 90 degrees with daily increases in dewpoint. Today expect a dewpoint of 95 which isn’t bad. Rain chances are missing in action today, so plan for a mostly sunny to partly cloudy day.
Weekend: Southerly winds will settle in, allowing the humidity and dewpoints to climb back to uncomfortable levels. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 90s this weekend with feels like temperatures well within triple-digit ranges again. The heat will be noticed in the early afternoon with possible relief in the evening. Showers and storms are expected to be spotty and scattered this weekend. Overnight lows will climb back into the mid-70s.
Next Week: A typical summertime pattern is expected with scattered afternoon storms with heat early on and high humidity. Highs in the low-90s.
Tracking the Tropics: There are two disturbances of note. The first is a very unorganized system in the middle Atlantic that has a low chance of development in the next 5 days. The second is in the east Atlantic heading west-northwestward. This system has a moderate chance of development in 48 hours and a high chance in the next 5 days. Its possible this could be a tropical depression or storm this weekend or early next week.
