Tracking the Tropics: A disturbance is expected to move into the southern Gulf in the next few days. The National Hurricane Center gives it a high chance for development once it moves into the western and southwestern Gulf. Whether it develops or not, it may move toward Texas and Louisiana, which means it will bring heavy rain to the northwestern Gulf Coast by early next week. We’re watching closely.
