Tomorrow – Mix of sun and clouds. Occasional afternoon storms. Heat indices near 100°. Highs near 92.
Extended – A drier weather pattern arrives by the weekend. Our daily thunderstorms will become more widely isolated. Temperatures will sit in the low 90s. Heat indices will hover near 100°. Two tropical systems will drive up rain chances early next week.
Tropics – Tropical Storm Laura is now moving across the Leeward Islands. Laura will likely enter the Gulf and strengthen into a hurricane. The current path points to a Louisiana landfall on Wednesday. Tropical Depression Fourteen will likely gain some steam entering the Gulf late Sunday. System predicted to reach hurricane strength at some point.
