Tonight: The remnants of Nicholas continue to spin to our north. This will trigger more off and on showers tonight. Passing showers are possible and they could be on the heavy side. Otherwise, partly to mostly cloudy with temperatures in the lower 70s by morning.
Saturday – Sunday: The Flash Flood Watch has been extended into Saturday evening for a good portion of the area. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected at times this weekend thanks to remaining tropical moisture and a disturbance in place. Isolated flash flooding may be possible. Unfortunately, there may be some rain around for tailgating and during the early portions of the football games. This weekend shouldn’t be a washout, but there will be a good coverage of rain mainly during the afternoon and evenings. Highs will be in the mid 80s.
Next Week: Scattered daily rain showers with highs in the mid 80s. A cold front is expected to move in Wednesday and pass by Thursday. Still time to watch, but this could bring drier air to the area, as well as some cooler mornings!
Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Storm Odette formed off the Mid-Atlantic coast. There are two other areas in the open Atlantic. No threats to the Gulf in the near term.
