Tonight: Storms will taper off late this evening and early tonight, but there is still the chance of a passing shower. Skies will be mostly cloudy. Temperatures will fall into the mid 70s, but it will be a bit muggy. Winds will be easterly at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Low near 75.
Tomorrow: It will be another stormy day. The rain bands from Tropical Storm Hanna will continue to affect the Baton Rouge metro area. Tomorrow’s storms will be scattered, but there is the threat of heavy rain within these thunderstorms. We are under a marginal risk for excessive rainfall. Areas along the coast are under an excessive risk. Winds will be easterly at 5-10 mph with gusty winds possible. High near 85.
Extended: Sunday will feature scattered storms with cooler-than-average temperatures. The storms on Monday will be a little more widespread, and again, temperatures will be below average. After that, our temperatures will begin to increase, and we’ll begin to dry out. Thursday and Friday will mainly be dry, but an isolated storm cannot be ruled out of the picture. These two days are also when our temperatures return to the 90s.
