StormTracker Team Forecast…The cold front has passed through the Capital City. Showers are trailing the front, but the rain will end from west to east through the morning hours. Morning temperatures will be in the 40s & 50s and afternoon temperatures will be in the 50s. Once the sun begins to set, temperatures will plummet into the 40s before dropping into the mid to upper 30s to around 40°F overnight and Friday morning. All of the little ghouls, witches, warlocks, vampires, and monsters will need the cold weather gear for trick-or-treating – jackets, coats, scarves, hats, etc.
There is a Frost Advisory in effect tonight through Friday morning for areas west of our viewing area, minus St. Martin parish. These areas will need to protect sensitive vegetation, along with animals.
When you’re waking up and heading off to work or school on Friady morning, it will be cold. Be sure to layer up. You may shed a few layers by the afternoon, but it will be chilly. Temperatures will likely not get out of the 50s. The next few mornings will be quite chilly.
We’ve got a beautiful autumn weekend in store — 60s, sun and clouds, low humidity, cool, and rain-free! Moisture gradually increases next week. Temperatures will regulate back into the 60s and 70s.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour Saturday night. Daylight Saving comes to an end and we “fall back” an hour.
