Tonight: Overnight temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 10 PM Monday to 8 AM Tuesday. This means below-freezing temperatures are likely for 6-8+ hours. Be sure to protect your pets and plants. Bring pets indoors and/or provide ample warm, dry shelter – facing away from the wind. This freeze should not impact pipes, but you may still want to protect outdoor exposed pipes, just in case. Also, be sure to practice fire safety.


Tuesday: Chilly and sunny. Highs in the low and mid 50s. Overnight temperatures will be near 33°F for Baton Rouge, but below freezing for some. A light freeze is expected for areas north and east of Baton Rouge. Patchy frost elsewhere.
Wednesday & Thursday: A low pressure system and an associated cold front will begin to move in, which will trigger showers and storms. Rain chance is around 30% on Wednesday and 40% on Thursday. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s. Overnight temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s.
Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50s. Overnight temperatures in the mid 30s.
Weekend: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Overnight temperatures will be in the mid and upper 30s.
