StormTracker Team Forecast…We hope you had a lovely weekend! Grab the coats before hitting the road this morning, but you’ll be able to toss them later on this morning — Afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 60s to around 70°F! We have a nice and quiet stretch of weather ahead before our next rain maker arrives. Temperatures will gradually warm into the upper 70s to possibly even flirting with 80°F by Thursday. Moisture returns ahead of our next system, so it will be warm, humid, and there will be a small chance for a shower.
The timing of our next system is tricky at this point. Models are divergent when it comes to the timing. Some models are showing a Friday night/early Saturday passage, whereas others are showing a Saturday/Saturday night passage. If it’s the latter, the LSU game could be impacted. As of now, we are not anticipating a severe weather threat, but be sure to stay tuned as we fine-tune the forecast. Once the system passes, temperatures will be much cooler.
Meanwhile in the Atlantic Basin, an area of low pressure has a medium chance for formation through the next few days. It will not be a threat to the United States, however, it is a friendly reminder that it is still hurricane season.
