Today: Today a Heat Advisory will be in place through 7pm for the entire area due to high heat indices expected yet again. The hottest feels-like temperatures will be in the late-morning to early afternoon since in the late afternoon scattered showers and thunderstorms should lead to cooler temperatures and possible wet evening commutes. Partly cloudy with highs near 94. Overnight lows in the mid-70s.
Tomorrow: Tomorrow will be hot again (highs near 95) with a possible lull in the wet pattern. There will still be a chance of showers and storms, but the coverage should be more isolated compared to today. Overnight lows remain in the mid-70s with mostly clear skies.
Wednesday-Friday: A cold front to the north will swing in and stall along the coast near the middle-to-end of next week. This along with disturbances in the Gulf will lead to a wider coverage of rain and possible heavier downpours. Highs may also be limited to the low-90s due to cloud and rain coverage.
Weekend: The weekend will see pretty much a typical summer pattern here in Louisiana. We will have highs in the mid-to-low 90s with partly cloudy skies, scattered showers and thunderstorms and overnight lows in the mid-70s.
