Today: A small frontal boundary with a high-pressure system behind it will lead to continuing sunshine today with temperatures in the afternoon reaching a comfortable 76 degrees. Overnight lows will drop into the low-50s but will avoid the 40s and 30s for the most part.
Tuesday-Wednesday: We’ll continue to warm with highs on Tuesday and Wednesday in the uper-70s, even a few 80s are possible. Tuesday will be mostly sunny but Wednesday will be partly cloudy as a disturbance approaches the area.
Thursday: As a trough of low pressure moves to our northeast, it will bring in south to southwesterly flow. This will lead to an increase in moisture flow from the Gulf of Mexico. Assuming temperatures can reach at least the mid-70s, which is the forecasted highs, we could see some showers develop on Thursday with partly cloudy skies, otherwise.
Friday: Cooler air settles in with mostly sunny skies and slightly drier conditions. Highs will be near 67 degrees in Baton Rouge.
Saturday-Sunday: Nice weather holds with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low-70s. Showers may be possible on Sunday but the chances look low for now.
Tracking the Tropics: No impacts to Baton Rouge expected.
