StormTracker Team Forecast…It’s Monday, yes, but at least we are not waking up to rainy conditions. We are, however, waking up to some patchy fog, so you may want to add a few extra minutes to your commute this morning. The stubborn cloud cover that lingered through the weekend is still expected to break up a bit today. We can expect a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the low to mid-70s. Rain chances return to the Baton Rouge metro starting on Tuesday. Ahead of the cold front, moisture will increase, thanks to a tropical wave in the Gulf, which will lead to scattered showers on Tuesday. The coverage will become numerous to possibly widespread on Wednesday. The cold front will pass through the area on Thursday, but the timing on exactly when is still a bit up in the air. As of now, rain looks possible during the morning and afternoon, but we turn dry for trick-or-treating. We will hit our high of 71°F during the morning before temperatures plummet into the 50s & 60s by trick-or-treat time, so kiddos will likely need a jacket with their costumes. Friday-Sunday will be much cooler with highs only in the lower 60s and lows in the 40s. Don’t forget that we “fall back” Saturday night/Sunday morning as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end. Stay tuned for changes!
