FLASH FLOOD WATCH [NOW-WEDNESDAY 12:00 PM]
Tonight – Periods of heavy rain. Localized flash flooding risk. Overcast. Lows near 69.
Tomorrow – Scattered to numerous shower and thunderstorms. More heavy rain at times. Highs near 82.
Extended – We’ve got another ugly start to the work week. Expect multiple rounds of heavy rain that could lead to localized flash flooding. We sit under a Flash Flood Watch through Wednesday. On average, we’ll see 2-4″ of rain. However, some areas may exceed 6 inches. Anticipate runoff and ponding water on some roadways. Areas typically prone to flooding will see high water. Please drive with caution.
In addition to the rain, we have the possibility for severe weather. We currently sit under a Slight Risk [threat level 2 of 5] for severe weather tonight. Some brief, weak tornadoes are possible until midnight. Have a plan of action to enable immediately.
Showers and storms remain a threat until early Friday. We finally move into a drier pattern by the weekend. Temperature will be seasonable for much of the week. Temperatures will climb by Saturday.
