Today & Tonight: Areas of patchy fog this morning. Rain chances are low today. We’re warm, breezy, and partly sunny. We should be mostly dry by midnight, but it will be super warm and humid. Overnight temperatures will be in the 70s.

New Year’s Day: A strong cold front will move into the region on Saturday. Showers and storms are possible during the second half of the day and overnight. The cold front may not pass through our area until early Sunday morning. We will need to watch for strong to severe storms again, but as of now, the strongest storms may stay to our north. Temperatures will be in the 80s.

Sunday: Some lingering rain will be possible during the morning as the cold front moves in and out of our area. We will likely hit our high early in the morning and we will be in the 40s by the afternoon, but the wind will make it feel much colder. We are expecting our first freeze of the season Sunday night/Monday morning as temperatures tank into the 20s and 30s. Be sure to protect people, pets, plants, and practice fire safety!

Next Week: Another light freeze may be possible Monday night/Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be in the 50s on Monday and then we’re back up in the 60s and 70s later in the week.
