Juneteenth/Father’s Day: Strong heat stays in place on Sunday. Father’s Day and Juneteenth will have more sunshine with a high of 98 degrees. On the bright side, any activities you have planned won’t get rained out.

Monday: More heat for Monday, but a few more clouds and the chance of a stray storm or two will reduce the high temperature to 96 degrees. The humidity will still be high making it feel miserable.

Tuesday: Tuesday marks the first day of Summer! The summer solstice marks the longest day of the year (more daylight hours on Tuesday than any other day of the year). Highs will return to the upper-90s.

Wednesday-Friday: If you thought the heat was strong last week, get ready for next week. Highs through the middle-to-later half of the week have the potential to reach 99 to 102 degrees with full sunshine. This would mark the first 100 degree heat of the season and could tie or break some daily record values.

Next Weekend: The heat is showing no signs of stopping so expect more upper-90s to around 100 degree heat with mostly dry conditions.

Tracking the Tropics: No tropical development is expected in the next 5 days.
