Tonight: It has been a pretty chilly day, and it will be a cold night. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s, so a light freeze is possible. Remember to protect people, pets, pipes and plants. Winds will be light out of the north. Skies will begin as clear, but clouds will increase overnight. Low near 31.
Tomorrow: The cooler weather will continue tomorrow with temperatures only rising into the upper 40s and lower 50s. The wind chill will be in the mid to upper 40s for many locations, so temperatures will be well below average. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. We’ll stay mainly dry until the late evening when rain begins to move in from the west. Winds will be northeasterly at 5-10 mph. High near 50.
Extended: Rain and possibly snow will move through the state tomorrow night as a low pressure system moves northward along the Gulf. The northern portion of the state could see snow or a wintry mix, but it looks like we will only see rain. Precipitation will approach our area around 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. continuing through 8 a.m. on Monday morning. Lows will drop into the mid 30s. Highs on Monday will struggle to reach the mid 40s with cloudy skies. The rest of the week will be chilly with temperatures in the low 30s and upper 40s to lower 50s. We’ll gradually get warmer as we head into the weekend. Friday will be the next chance for rain.
